Denim
Care:
– First wash: Hold off on it as long as possible (even several months!). Let the fabric "remember" your shape and the way you move.
– If you need to freshen up the pants, use only cold water or a maximum of 30°C. The natural weave without stretch added can shrink much more at high temperatures than denim blended with polyester.
– Sunday Tip: Instead of washing, put your jeans in the freezer overnight in a sealed bag. The low temperature will kill bacteria and refresh the fabric without using water or chemicals!
Drying and fit:
– Never use a tumble dryer. Clean fibers exposed to hot air can cause the pants to "shrink" by one or two sizes.
– Dry jeans laid flat. Avoid hanging them by the belt loops when very wet – their own weight can stretch them unnecessarily.
– Ironing? Only if you have to, and preferably when the fabric is still slightly damp.
